The name “CultureSharp” has been chosen to refute the notion that culture is a soft and intangible topic. Instead, culture has become a razor sharp analytical tool when we use the research results of Geert Hofstede and colleagues.
Interestingly, many managers have told me that they are not interested in culture as it is too soft and too intangible to get value for money. The truth is, once some among them understand that it offers the most accurate mirror of their work reality and of the effects of their leadership style, they shy away. This of course, dear reader, does not apply to you.
